Becoming

A painting about growth, courage, and becoming who you are meant to be.

Have you ever felt like you were moving through life, but weren't quite sure where you were going? Becoming was born from that feeling.

Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect. We face challenges, make mistakes, take unexpected turns, and sometimes question whether we're heading in the right direction. But perhaps those moments are part of the journey.

They shape us. They teach us what matters, what to hold onto, what to let go of—and, eventually, who we are becoming.

I chose the lion as the subject because to me, a lion represents more than strength. He represents quiet courage, resilience and the willingness to step forward into the unknown.

Through expressive brushstrokes and layers of rich colour, I wanted to capture a moment of transformation—the feeling of standing between who you were and who you are becoming.

This is not simply a painting of a lion. It is a reminder that you don't have to have everything figured out to keep moving forward.
