The Stag in Bloom

There is a certain presence in a stag that makes you stop and look. In this painting, I wanted to capture more than the animal's appearance. His gaze, the shape of his antlers and the contrast between his warm, earthy coat and the lush green background give him a character of his own.

I used expressive brushwork and layers of colour to bring out the texture of his coat and the depth of the surrounding greenery. Small touches of red among the flowers add another layer of colour to the scene.

This painting brings a touch of the wild into your space without overwhelming it. Whether displayed in a living room, study or a quiet corner of your home, it offers an opportunity to enjoy the character and beauty of wildlife every day.
